Woebegone

I went all woebegone while trying to sleep last night. I think it may be the suspense of waiting for a job call, or being alone at home and realizing how spoiled one can get, or maybe 'cause of missing loves, or all these combined...

WOOOoooooo... be gone!...

So I read my favourite book to sleep. It's not a typical fiction where a hero fights crime and solves mysteries and with happy endings. It's "tuesdays with Morrie", a book about life.

It's a book. You read it.

This book teaches what it means to live, what it means to share, what it means to give it all you have for anything you've done and will do. I was and am always a person who wants to know it all, try it all. It's in my nature (that's where my ideal is from). And I CRAVE to share it amongst my peers. After all, it feeds into the other belief of mine - look at the very bottom of my blog.

I pushed myself to workout again today, despite being in pain here and there. After all, working out at the gym is such a wonderful activity; it provides drive, it gives strength, it prolongs endurance, it beautifies the body, it rejuvenates the soul, it creates life.

*Embrace*

My workout went out this way:
  • Seated Cycle - 5min to 180hbps (heart beats per sec)
  • Crunches - 24rep
  • Leg Raises - 12rep
  • Two Leg Plank - 1 min
  • One Leg Plank - 1 min/side
  • Concentrated Bicep Curls - 12rep/side x 2
  • Bicep Arm Curls - 6 rep/side (arms were dying on me)
  • Dumbbell Pull-up - 12 rep/side x 2 (switched to shoulders)
  • Calf Pulldown - 12rep x 2
Not bad I'd say, considering the pain still lingering from last time. Cardio will be for tomorrow.

Planet Earth...Kevin mentioned this and I'm like "waaa~ someone else likes to watch it too!!" None of my friends were intrigued when I told them I bought the whole disc set and asked them to watch (grrr...). Now I feel jealous and left out... <_<

It wasn't Planet Earth that I liked the most though. It was the Blue Planet series that came along with the set.

Planet Earth series, BBC box set, and Blue Planet

Blue Planet intrigues me. Not because of the cute dolphins and babies seals, but because there's so much mysteries under all that blue stuffz invading our land: like my little friend here.

Hi! Remember me?! I gots me pancakes and wanta more!

Ate a big dinner today. Half a chicken, head of broccoli, and angel hair with homemade pesto sauce. Perfect for a day's end!

Homemade Pesto..with Sharp Old Cheddar!!

Full dinner set, with lots of veggies and protein! Perfect for a growing boy~

Oh! All gone...

Now who wants to clean the mess for me?
Ah forget it, I'll use magic..
Abracadabra aaaaaand...

.

..

...

Pretzel! (WTF indeed. search 'pretzel' on google image)

Hey! The magic worked! Thanks Anka-3enbtuep!

*grumbles*... *MEOW!!*

Sore

Woke up sore all over my body...no it's not from outrageously prolonged sex or falling down the stairs to get a cold orange in the middle of the night so to squeeze and lick the juices off a muscular body... Oh ho noooo...

Oranges anyone? It's not used...

....Sigh

Sigh more Charlie Brown~ Sigh more...

It's from the damned 1st week of workout! *Huff*

Yes it's the dreadful period where all your limbs will go *phat* on you after pathetic, weak, mediocre, unremarkable, inferior, garden-variety (what the #%@*?), second-rate, vanilla (I do like vanilla) workout. So I didn't workout today simply because of that.

Instead, I decided to go to Metro today to walk around, cause you know, homes are usually boring. Consider this a small cardio for myself today. Yippy!

I didn't really plan to buy anything, more so to look at items which could potentially be mine and my incoming bday-friends. You know when you are in that situation where you have not a single damn clue about this friend and you are to get him/her something? WELL, that's where I'm in right now.

Should I buy a tshirt?

No. Too plain.

Should I buy a Xbox video game?

No. Downloadable.

Should I buy the Shiba Inu whom was so cuteyly hugging and licking the customers at Pet Habitat?

If it's for myself.

I'd be scared too if poop invaded my home!~

In the end, I think getting a Metropolis card would be a GREAT idea. It's so convenient! It's a gift that could be used anywhere in Metro! It's like paying hard earned $ to the mall and corporations!...

I instead bought 54$ worth of groceries and went home laughing for no reason while eating a tuna salad bun.

Pancakes?

Aunt Jemima Pancake Set?! NO WAY!

*gasp* Pancake mix mixed!

No you didn't...OH NO you didn't...CINNAMON!!~ *gasp x10*

*musical overture* Pancakes dances~ Pancakes sizzles~

OMG it's done! So Fluffy!! Who wants some?!?!

I wantsa pancakes!

Po guu! Ah wa sum phacak tu!~

Who DOESN'T love me pancakes?!?

Damn Hell Yah~

OMG.

........
I'm pregnant!....

PREGNANTS!?! OH NOES!!

...No not really. But it kinda felt like it when I went to the gym today. So many guys today with quite a bit of tummy. Surprising considering when one enters a gym, you'd expect to bathe in the glory of fit, muscular, scrumptious, sweaty....uhm...ya... Good thing others came in to join the ranks and made it more so. =]

So this means I actually finally started my main resolution. Was a hard step considering it's pretty intimidating being in a macho environment. Fancy that I was overall taller and pretty well fit compared to some of the guys. Not the mention my o' so charming good looks (*far away HA!*). Don't get me wrong, I don't post a pic of me on my blog simply because it keeps a mystery going. Plus if I was to make friends over the net, heck...I want to be known for my personality than looks. Besides, friends are friends right? (right?) (RIGHT?!)

What you LOOKING at?! I'm not hots for you?!

Workout was typical. Here's how it went so far:
  • Seated Cycle - 8min
  • Crunches - 24rep x 2
  • Leg Raises - 12rep x 2
  • Two Leg Plank - 1 min
  • One Leg Plank - 1 min per side (holy this hurts!)
  • Cable Crossovers - 12rep x 2
  • Calf Raises - 20rep per side x 2 + 5lb and 8lb dbs
  • Pec Deck - 12rep (too tired by this)
Not bad for the first day. I have to say it's a LOT better than when I first started without any background. Guess I'll go tomorrow again to set my workout schedule straight.

I remember reading one of Kevin's blog entries about face care and I saw something like it came up on TV during workout. It was an interesting topic: Skin Care Around the World. The place that intrigued me was Japan.

Q: What does the Japanese do to clean their faces?

A: Drink collagen and smear nightingale feces all over their face

........
....
?

...Don't get me wrong. That was pretty interesting and informative. But drinking facial products and spread feces on your face?... Ugh! (I still <3 you Japan!) Made me thought of brewing those coffee beans coming from a mammal's posterior. Never imagine eh?

Oh no! Don't take my beans from my ass!

Gucci sale was on today. 10% off the whole store (<---yes WHOLE store). My friend, lets call him Fluffy, is a huge fanatic of Gucci. It's not anything special (to me at least), though people seem to start praising you like a 'god' once you bring it out of your pocket to pay for a pack of gum. Guess it's worth the price for something like that? Me and Fluffy went late, so unfortunately there wasn't much left for him. Fluffy did though buy a wallet for his sister.

We then went to LV and check out some of the 'divine' items they have. I was pretty amazed the Graphite Damier was practically sold out except one last card-holder! Since Fluffy didn't find anything, he bought the card-holder for his many cards (I swear I can build a fortress from all them cards). Then his sister called and told him to buy a purse for her. Cha-Ching! $_$

one word: *DROOLS* (Kent: need to buy me this!)

I unfortunately didn't get anything. It's still a bit hard for me to convince myself the value of something so small could cost the same as a coat or something much more useful. Heck, my wallet cost less than your dinner you just ate today (for those who didn't have dinner today, I'm very sorry~). I do like the Graphite Damier though. So chic! Blah. At least I got champagne and chocolate during the event.

Slow Day

Woke up at 3:30pm today. Not exactly what I had in mind for the day. Guess it couldn't be helped considering I slept late last night updating myself and cleaning a bit more. Sigh...still so much to clean.

When I move out, there MUST be a dishwasher!

Today was the ANTM (America's Next Top Model) finale! My friends and I usually order Panago pizza and watch the finale together, but this season, it was only me and my closest friend. We ordered the Philly Mushroom and the Chicken Club for us and for his family as well. I gotta say, despite not liking the taste and texture of mushrooms EVER, it wasn't that bad with all the cheese and other toppings mixing the taste. Though I still ate more of the Chicken Club. ^_^

Mmmmm... Panago...

In the finale, 3 girls were left: Annaleigh, Mckey, and Sam. I do have to say I was a bit disappointed when one of the 'better' girls didn't make it in the final 2. Pretty shocking, though Tyra and her gang always judge based on the day-of performance by the models (which really sucks - how the heck Samantha make it through all the way to top 3?!). At the end, one I was cheering for still won the competition! (go *BLOCKED*!!). See...no spoilers!

Mckey, Annaleigh, and Sam (how'd she get here?!)

Tomorrow will definitely be a more productive day. I already have my workout plan set out, so it's a matter of me just getting my bum to the gym and working my body. Mmmmmm...

*sorry for the pic post Kev! last couple postings sounded like you were confused. don't be mad! *hugs =[

Squeaky Clean

Woke up today at 12pm, despite sleeping around 5-6am. Customizing blogs are pretty addicting! I am mostly complete in formatting my blogspot. Just need to add some retouches and I will be satisfied. Still need to play around with my Facebook account before I do anything further with it. Sorry I don't refer to it for now!

I meant to go work out when I wake up, then go to Metrotown for some shopping and groceries. This would have followed 2 of my resolutions: working out and 1 how-to's. Instead, I spent practically most of the day at home cleaning up and relaxing!

After cooking up a lunch of dumplings w/ sesame oil and garlic bread, I played the piano a bit. Had a hard time playing some of the harder songs. I used to play it so well too! So I added this to my resolutions.

After piano, I decided to clean up my room a bit. Mostly clean up the left side of my computer. So much random junk there to organize, though it's all arranged now! There are piles of school work on the right side, though I didn't get to it today.

Left side all clean... Right side all messy! =X

Since I was in a cleaning mode and my friends came over a couple days ago for my birthday, I decided to clean the whole house. I just had to 'cause the whole place was a mess and made me feel icky. It has been a while since I've cleaned the whole house by myself! Did vacuuming, brushing/mopping, 2 loads of laundry + folding, washing tons of dishes from birthday and today, recycling/organizing gifts and newspapers, and take out the garbage (1 minutes outside!). It only took 5-6 hours...

My recycling box is full!!

Apparently a friend of mine found my blog and read it yesterday, then messaged me on MSN. Funny how small Vancouver is. (True ain't it Kevin? =P) Had a long talk with him over the phone. Good catching up with him. It's been a while and maybe he'll go eat "all you can eat" with me at Fish On Rice next week. Pretty excited! (to friend: you better be too if you are reading this!!)

Best place I know for 'All You Can Eat" in Burnaby

I'll probably start workout tomorrow. It's a good time considering tomorrow will be a sunny day and I can at least enjoy the sunshine a bit before it rains on Thursday.

First Posting

Think it's time I'd reopen a blog up as a birthday resolution. Feels like I'm doing jack lazing around the house and going out spending the greens over the past couple weeks. Never spent so much money on clothes and food in one month alone!... o_o

With the family gone to HK, feels pretty lonely with all the responsibilities. Don't it just suck when there's no one to wash all the dishes, clean the whole house, and brush your teeth for you? (ha) Guess tomorrow I'll try hard to at least start some of my resolutions I've made for myself listed here:
  • Release over-expectations and just plain relax
  • Workout at gym starting November 18, 2008
  • Blog up daily with day activities and workout log
  • At least perfect 2-3 recipes in cooking and how-to's per month
  • Reopen Facebook
  • Say "i love u" or something-along-that-line more

Funny I'm trying to reopen Facebook yet again. Been so long since I've logged onto that profile. All those crazy apps and floods of messages from friends and stalkers alike. Must set those privacy settings once I figure how the heck it to access it.

Anyways, enough of this for today. Sleepy for now.
